[Link] Xage Security has received a $17 million contract from the U.S. Space Force's Space Systems Command to provide a cybersecurity platform to protect the service's ground and space-based systems and ensure the integrity of data exchanged from the source or network edge to the consumer.
[Link] South Korean mobile network operator LG U+ has collaborated with the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) and Qunova Computing to develop a 6G low-earth orbit (LEO) satellite network that uses D-Wave's quantum computing system to optimize end-to-end connections within satellite networks.
[Link] Quantum computing company IonQ announced an expanded relationship with the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) to deploy two barium-based trapped ion quantum computing systems for quantum networking research and application development. IonQ also announced two new rack-mount systems aimed at the enterprise: IonQ Forte Enterprise and IonQ Tempo.

[Link] Liquid immersion cooling company LiquidStack announced MicroModular and MegaModular solutions as new compact, high density turnkey solutions for the edge. Made in collaboration with Trane Technologies the MicroModular contains a single 48U DataTank appropriate for local edge applications and the MegaModular holds up to six 48U DataTanks for regional edge applications.
[Link] Kneron has announced $49 million in additional funding from investors including Foxconn, HH-CTBC Partnership, and Alltek, bringing their total Series B financing to $97 million. The company will use the additional funds to accelerate the deployment of advanced AI, focusing on nano GPT solutions for automotive in particular.
[Link] Aligned Data Centers announced an expansion to the North American market with a new land acquisition in Northeast Ohio. A sustainable brownfield redevelopment project, Aligned acquired the 129-acre land parcel in Perkins Township, Ohio, where it will become the site of a planned new, four-building hyperscale data center campus.
