Dell, AT&T, VMware launch integrated 5G MEC solution for enterprises. The Multi-access Edge Computing solution will feature infrastructure-as-a-service, multi-cloud support and built-in migration for workloads running on VMware. Douglas Lieberman from Dell explains that Edge solutions bring business applications closer to where the data is processed to deliver real-time responsiveness while conserving network bandwidth, adding security and reducing costs.
Several quarterly financial results were announced last week:
Digital Bridge DBRG 0.00%↑ : Assets under management of $69.3 billion, up 49% year-over-year. Portfolio company MRR continued to grow across all verticals in the DBRG ecosystem. During the earnings call CEO Marc Ganzi noted that his M&A team has largely shied away from acquisitions in the residential fiber market because of the threat of overbuilding.
Equinix EQIX 0.00%↑ : $2.0 billion quarterly revenues, a record quarter-over-quarter step up of $127 million.
Arista Networks ANET 0.00%↑ : Revenue of $1.351 billion, an increase of 5.9% compared to the fourth quarter of 2022, and an increase of 54.1% from the first quarter of 2022.
ARM announces confidential submission for proposed IPO. It is certainly an interesting time (in the market) to IPO, but it has been a long road for this company to get to this point. I am a fan of ARM, so I’ll keep an eye out to (possibly) get in on this stock.
Meta plans shift to liquid cooling. New investments in infrastructure, with an eye towards AI-centric data center redesign that focuses a lot more on liquid cooling.
