During CES recently NVIDIA invited industry leaders to share their perspectives on how technology, especially AI and computing power, is shaping the future of transportation.
[Link] Mark Zuckerberg recently gave an update on Meta’s AI and Llama3 plans, saying that the company planned to build an artificial intelligence system with the equivalent of 600,000 Nvidia GPUs.
[Link] TACC Spearheads the University of Texas at Austin’s Launch of Generative AI Computing Cluster. UT Austin is launching the Center for Generative AI, powered by a 600 NVIDIA H100s GPU computing cluster.
[Link] Equinix launches a fully managed private cloud service that enables enterprises to easily acquire and manage their own NVIDIA DGX AI supercomputing infrastructure for building and running custom generative AI models. Equinix also released its Global Interconnection Index (GXI) 2024, saying that by 2026, 80% of enterprises will design and run new digital infrastructure using subscription-based services.
[Link] New data center builds: AWS in Mississippi, and Meta in Indiana. AWS will invest $10 billion to build two new data center campuses on 1,700 acres of land in Mississippi, and Meta plans to establish a new 700,000-square-foot,$800 million data center campus in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
